WWE Superstars Team with KaBoom to Build Playground

More than 200 volunteers worked together to give the students of Woodland West Elementary a new KaBoom playground. KaBoom is a national non profit ensuring that all kids have the opportunity to play everyday at home, in school and in their communities.

According to former principal Amy Hoyle, the highlight of the day was when the students got to meet the superstars of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) who participated in the build.

“We are so fortunate that our KaBoom partner is the WWE,” Hoyle said. “In addition to a playground, we are also getting an obstacle course, an outdoor classroom and a learning garden with a classroom in it and we will serve the food from the garden in our cafeteria.”

Woodland West students designed the playground by submitting proposals and drawings.
