Woodland West Students Meet the WWE

First Book and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) teamed up to host a reading celebration at Woodland West Elementary School.

First Book is an organization that provides books to children who have limited access to reading material.

“We are partnered with WWE because they have a deep commitment to the community and reading is a fundamental part of a child’s life and family life,” said Adam Ray of First Book.

WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil and WWE Diva Natalya say they are happy to have the opportunity to visit schools across the country and promote the positive message of the importance of literacy. O’Neil and Natalya read the book “Not Your Typical Dragon” to Woodland West students. In addition, the students participated in several activities including drawing a portrait of themselves highlighting their unique abilities. Each child had the opportunity to meet the WWE stars and receive an autographed copy of the book.

This is not the first time WWE has visited Woodland West. Last year, they partnered with the organization KABOOM to build a playground for the students.
