Three JPPSS Teachers Named Statewide Technology Educators of the Year

1002470_304091443060888_186278501_nA trio of educators from the Jefferson Parish Public School System have earned statewide recognition for their use of classroom technology.

The Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators announced its 2016 Educators of the Year. Bissonet Plaza Elementary Media Specialist and Technology Coordinator Christine Smith Dauterive is the Region 1 Leader of the Year. Patrick F. Taylor Science and Technology Academy math and technology teacher Susanna Klusendorf is the Region 1 Middle School Teacher of the Year. Metairie Academy fourth grade teacher Claudia Suazo is the Region 1 Elementary School Teacher of the Year.

Winners will be recognized at the annual LACUE Conference Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony, which will take place December 8 at the New Orleans Hyatt Regency. The LACUE is a professional nonprofit organization that recognizes and promotes the use of computers in education. Its officers, directors, and board members include education professionals from across the state.
