Students Discover Creative Fun During Summer Arts Camp

While many of their classmates were just starting to ease in to summer vacation, students from across the area took part in the annual Jefferson Parish Public School System (JPPSS) Summer Arts Camp. This unique three-week program that ran June 1-19 is offered by JPPSS and Title I. Students in grades 2-7 learn skills in visual and performing arts, dance, pottery, woodworking, and a number of other arts-related fields. Riverdale Middle and Truman Middle were the 2015 host campuses. The photos below were taken during a day of camp at Truman Middle.
