Biography

Mark Morgan, a product of the Ben Franklin High School magnet school program, was elected to the JPPSS School Board as a member in March 2004. Since his arrival, he has been actively involved in the educational process by advocating for a magnet high school on the west bank, re-allocating capital improvement resources based on need, and a social responsibility curriculum in middle schools.

Morgan has also taken the lead on a wide variety of issues as Chairman of the JPPSS legislative and transportation committees. In addition to his work with the school board, Morgan works with many professional organizations and is an active member of Rotary International. Morgan is an attorney where he specializes in criminal, regulatory, and discrimination law.

He received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Ohio University and his law degree from Tulane University School of Law. Morgan currently is a professor of trial advocacy at Tulane Law School.
