Rau for Art Foundation Awards Scholarships to Two JPPSS Students

Jefferson Parish Public School System students comprised half of the finalists and two-thirds of the winners in the annual Rau for Art Foundation’s scholarship competition.

John Ehret High’s Prince Bradley earned a $3,000 scholarship by finishing in second place with his piece titled “Diversity of Man.” Thomas Jefferson High’s Georgia Smith earned a $1,500 scholarship by finishing in third place with her piece titled “A Serene Crescent City Connection.”

Young artists from around greater New Orleans competed for three scholarships. Also among the 10 finalists were Kayla Johnson, Megan Mai, and Truc Lee of Thomas Jefferson High.
