Plenty of JPPSS Magic Onstage in JPAS Production of Peter Pan

If you’re a member of the Jefferson Parish Public School System family, you’re likely to see some familiar faces onstage and behind the scenes of the Jefferson Performing Arts Society’s production of the timeless Broadway classic Peter Pan.

A number of JPPSS students and educators helped bring Peter Pan to life. JPAS Director of Marketing and Public Relations Joshua Frederick says it’s very common to find JPPSS students and teachers involved with JPAS productions. JPPSS students are also heavily involved in the JPAS Theatre Kids! program that produces two shows during the regular season and three during summer.

The JPPSS connection in Peter Pan includes:

  • JPPSS Talented Theatre resident music director Kyle Aucoin (Music Director/Conductor)
  • JPPSS Talented Theatre teacher Nancy Macko (Lighting Designer)
  • Patrick F. Taylor Academy student Ethan Rogers (cast, John Darling)
  • Rudolph Matas School student Cayden Pecoraro (cast, Michael Darling)
  • Helen Cox High student Tyler Carrere (cast, Indian)
  • Airline Park Academy student Keita Kawahara (cast, Lost Boy)
  • Kenner Discovery teacher Julie Montgomery (cast, Pirate)
  • Patrick F. Taylor Academy student Emma Grace Potts (cast, Lost Boy)

You can still see these JPPSS thespians and the rest of the cast & crew’s production of Peter Pan at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center. The show runs October 26-27 at 7:30 p.m. and October 28 at 2 p.m. Click here for more information or to purchase tickets.
