Nine Haynes Academy Students Earn Advanced Placement Scholar Awards

Nine students from Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies have earned Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Awards for their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement (AP) examinations.

Congratulations to Tyler Simons, Jordan Lunda, Isaac Rodriguez, Michael Hennessey, Samantha Stieffel, Jae Shin, Alexis Laguna, Jordana Williams, and Hiba Elaasar.

All of the students scored a 3 or higher on more than three of the five tests within the AP exams (based on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest).

Most four-year colleges in the United States provide credit and/or advanced placement for qualifying exam scores.

Research shows that AP students who score a 3 or higher on AP exams typically experience greater academic success in college and have higher college graduation rates than students who do not participate in Advancement Placement.
