National Organization Looks to Develop Young Women into Leaders of Science and Engineering

The Perry Initiative operates hands-on outreach programs across the country for young women in high school, college, and medical school. Its goal is to the train the next leaders in orthopedic surgery and engineering. This national organization is accepting applications for its Tulane University branch now through March 25. Participants take part in a day-long workshop where they will complete hands-on experiments and connect with prominent women surgeons and engineers. The experiments include mock orthopedic surgeries and biomechanical engineering projects. The Perry Initiative partners with medical centers, universities and high schools throughout the US.
