National Honor Society Returns to West Jeff

WJ-NHS-webThe National Honor Society has returned to West Jefferson High School with renewed interest and commitment.

“I am proud to let you know how much I care about each of you – the pride of the west bank,” said Network Executive Director Mark Bailey. “Congratulations and enjoy your night tonight because you have earned it.”

West Jefferson inducted its largest contingent of national honor society members in years. It was through the leadership and tenacity of senior Ahmad Ordu that the National Honor Society is back at West Jefferson.

“We are gathered here to formally recognize those students that have been selected by the faculty council of our school for successfully completing their candidacy and are being induced as new members of our National Honor Society chapter,” said Ordu.

At the ceremony, 14 students with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and community service hours were inducted into the school’s chapter. A moment of great pride for the students, parents and community.
