Message from the Superintendent: Teacher Appreciation Week 2016

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week here in Jefferson Parish and in districts across the nation. I want all our teachers to know how much we appreciate you. Thank you for your dedication to our students.

This is really a celebration that should go on year-round. So many of you see your work as more than a job…it’s a calling. You do more than just educate children…you save lives. Remember this, no matter how your day is going, you make a difference in the life of a young person every day. Through your actions large and small, you make a difference to our children.

Because of you, we are a “B” district that continues to climb the state rankings.
Because of you, our graduation rate is at the highest point it’s been in over a decade.
And because of you, more of our students continue to meet the rising expectations as the state continues to raise the bar to earn mastery.

Thank you for what has been a successful school year, and thank you for choosing Jefferson Parish Public Schools.

Warm Regards,

Isaac G. Joseph
