JPS-TV Wins National Award for Feature on Butler Elementary Program

The Jefferson Parish Public School System’s television studio and communications department was honored for a video feature it produced on a transformational discipline program at Joshua Butler Elementary.

“Conscious Discipline at Butler Elementary” won a Telly Award during the most recent awards competition. Nearly 12,000 entries from across the US and beyond were received for the 36th Annual Telly Awards. Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, video and film productions, and web commercials. Some of the other organizations to win this year include CNBC, CNN, Discovery, Disney, ESPN, NBC, and FOX.
