A passion for writing led T.H. Harris Middle student Yasmin Silva to enter and win the America’s WETLAND Foundation “Keep Your Eye on the Prize” art, essay, and photography competition. Silva placed first in the state in the Essay category for grades 7-9. Her piece was called “Lily’s Lesson” and focused on the story of a young girl who helped to conserve the wetlands in order to help animals.
