Interpreters in the Community Setting is a 20-hour (three days) course that is offered free of charge to JPPSS bilingual employees who serve as interpreters. There will be three sessions offered this summer for bilingual paraprofessionals and staff to receive interpreter in the community setting training and certification. The training days (listed below) will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., with the final day lasting from 8 a.m. until noon.
Continuing Education for Interpreters in the Community Setting is an eight-hour course for all ESL paraprofessionals who have already attended interpreter training and are certified. This is a one day continuing education for interpreters that is provided free of charge to all JPPSS employees who have already been certified as Interpreters in the Community Setting. There will be three sessions offered this summer for bilingual paraprofessionals and staff. These training days (listed below) will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
