JPPSS College and Career Fairs

Students in the Jefferson Parish Public School System (JPPSS) recently had the opportunity to have a glimpse of their futures at College/Career Fairs held on the West Bank at John Ehret High School and on the East Bank at Grace King High School.

“This is a wonderful event,” said Acting Superintendent James Meza. “We have a number of universities from all over the south and some from up north who come down to recruit our students.”

In addition to the colleges, there were many businesses promoting career opportunities. Students were able to go from booth to booth collecting information about how to apply to universities, earn scholarships, and receive financial aid.

According to Meza, the turnout was large at both events, with a number of parents joining their children.
