JP School Board Names Larry Dale President & Tiffany Kuhn Vice President

The Jefferson Parish School Board unanimously chose Larry Dale and president and Tiffany Kuhn as vice president for 2019. Selecting officers was one of the first official actions of the newly sworn-in board during its Special Session meeting January 9.

Larry Dale

District VI Board Member Larry Dale, who grew up in both Orleans Parish and Jefferson Parish, graduated from Brother Martin High School. He graduated from the University of New Orleans. He is the president of Pinnacle Employment, a company that works to help people with disabilities (especially young people) get employment. He has worked in this field for over 20 years, and also works with the business community in recognizing the value that people with disabilities can bring to our community.

For the past several years, Dale has served on a wide range of committees, including as the general manager of the Louisiana Business Leadership Network. He was also the past chairman of the Jefferson Parish Workforce Investment Board and the Louisiana Rehabilitation Council. Dale has served as the founding executive director of the Jefferson Chamber Foundation.

Tiffany Kuhn

District III Board Member Tiffany Kuhn has strong ties to the Jefferson Parish Public School System and the West Bank. Her community work can be attributed to her desire to help students and teachers reach their goals. A graduate of Fisher Middle-High, Kuhn returned to her alma mater as a parent to help establish a parent organization. She was influential in acquiring for the school a digital marquee that helps communicate information to parents.

She was named Leo Kerner Jr. Elementary 2011 Volunteer of the Year, and has served as president of the school’s parent organization since 2012. Kuhn helped Kerner Elementary get two age-specific playgrounds. She also serves on the JPPSS Parent Advisory Council. Kuhn graduated from the University of New Orleans with a major in Hospitality Management. She worked her way up through the hospitality industry to become a general manager. She currently oversees the sales and promotional operations of her family business, Higgins Seafood.
