Join Superintendent Joseph, Sheriff Normand in Supporting 5K & Fun Run Against Bullying

race2Families Helping Families of Jefferson is seeking community support for its 5K & Fun Run Against Bullying.

The honorary co-chairs for this year’s race are Jefferson Parish Public School System Superintendent Isaac G. Joseph and Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand. The 5K & Fun Run Against Bullying raises awareness and funds to help students, families, educators, and communities address bullying prevention. The event takes place Saturday, October 3, at LaSalle Park on 6600 Airline Drive in Metairie. Registration starts at 7 a.m., the Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K starts at 9 a.m.

Along with participating in the event, organizers are offering a number of sponsorship opportunities. From the Friend Sponsor level of $100 to the Hero Sponsor level of $7,500, individuals, groups, and organizations can help take action for bullying prevention.

The Mission of Families Helping Families of Jefferson is to educate and connect children and adults with disabilities and their families to resources, services, and supports to attend school, work, and thrive in their communities.
