JPPSS Pre-K Registration for 2017-18 Now Open

Bunche Elementary School is re-opening

Families living in Bunche Village who have completed applications for the second lottery run and who wish to choose Bunche Elementary as one of the site choices, must send an email to the JPPSS at by June 15th. Please email your request for a change in site choice and include the child’s name, parent’s name, and phone number. We will call you to confirm your change in site choice to Bunche Elementary. Families who do not email their request by June 15th, will remain at the school where they were placed during the 2nd lottery run.

The Jefferson Early Childhood Collaborative 2nd lottery has been run.

All seats are pending, given final approval of child eligibility by the program or site.

Parents must log in to their account at within 10 days of the lottery and claim their child’s placement within their dashboard. If you do not accept the seat in your dashboard within 10 days, your application will be automatically declined.

After parents accept the seat in their dashboard, they must also complete site based registration according to the site’s timelines. In most programs, site based registration requires parents to appear in person at the site and bring the child and family documents (e.g., birth certificate, immunizations, proof of income). Look for email communications and dashboard messages from the site or program once you accept the seat. Jefferson Parish Schools will be closed from June 8th – July 11th.  If you do not hear from the program or school by July 20th, please contact them directly for site based requirements and deadlines.

Parents who chose more than 1 school site or program, will receive a separate email regarding the status of placement at each site.

In summary, the following steps must be completed to secure your child’s placement:

  1. Log in to your account at and ACCEPT SEAT within 10 days.
  2. Complete site-based registration at the school or program site and complete all site-based registration requirements.
