Disney World certainly was a magical place recently for the Helen Cox High School Cheerleaders. The Lady Cougars were named one of the top squads in the nation at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship, which was held at the Orlando, Florida theme park.
Helen Cox took first place in Small Varsity Non Tumbling, defeating two-time champion Belle Chasse High School and 37 other teams. Helen Cox nearly placed first in the Non-Tumbling Game Day Competition. Their third place finish in that category was just four-tenths of a point from the top spot.

It is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country.
