Haynes Academy Student on Jeopardy

Haynes Academy student Injee Hong is competing the week of March 5 – 9 in the kids week segment of the Jeopardy television show which will broadcast later this summer.

Hong is one of 15 students that were accepted by the TV show following an online test and in-person auditions in Houston.

Hong, a 7th grader and honor roll student, is the first student from Haynes Academy to be on the popular television show.  Currently, she is on the student council, runs cross country, participates in academic games and math counts, and plays the piano.  As a 5th grader at Metairie Academy, she was chosen as the state elementary school student of the year.  Last year, she was finalist in the “Doodle for Google” contest.

Hong is vying for $15,000 for winning each of the five games during the kids week show.

The shows that Hong will participate in will be broadcast July 30 through August 3.

Congratulations and good luck to Injee!
