Greenlawn Terrace Receives Library Makeover

More than 40 volunteers from Capital One participated in the READesign program sponsored by the Heart of America Foundation at Greenlawn Terrace Elementary School last month. The library redesign program aims to transform school libraries by redecorating, revitalizing technology, and replenishing bookshelves.

As a part of the program, each student at Greenlawn Terrace received five books and a nutritious snack pack.

In addition to the books, the Capitol One volunteers gave Greenlawn’s library a makeover complete with a Disney mural. By making it inviting, students will want to visit the library – a place where they can come and learn. In addition to the makeover, volunteers put 875 books on the shelves, created a reading corner, and donated five eReaders.
