Grace King High Broadcast Team Presents Unforgettable “Ellen Comes Home Show”

The Grace King High School broadcast team’s annual living history program was transformed into a production worthy of daytime television. Students, teachers, and program volunteers produced the “Ellen Comes Home Show,” themed after former Grace King student Ellen DeGeneres’ Emmy winning talk show. JPPSS speech pathologist and broadcast program founder Bridget Seals played the role of Ellen, as she interviewed students playing the role of prominent Louisiana citizens.

The Grace King High broadcast team is a multimedia intervention program for special needs students. The program, which has received national recognition, aims to improve these students communication skills through activities like public speaking and interviewing.
