Dr. Brumley’s 100-Day Plan Presentation & Swearing-In Ceremony July 16

Dr. Cade Brumley’s 100-day entry plan has taken him into the living rooms of Jefferson Parish Public School System families, in front of students as a teacher for the day, and through classrooms, cafeterias, and communities in every district. The JPPSS superintendent is now ready to share what he’s learned and what’s possible in Jefferson Parish.

Dr. Brumley’s 100-Day Plan Presentation and Official Swearing-In Ceremony will take place Monday, July 16 at 5 p.m. at the JPPSS Administration Building at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey. The event is open to the public.

Louisiana State Senator John Alario will swear-in Dr. Brumley. Local and state politicians, business and community leaders, and school and district leaders will also attend. In addition to Dr. Brumley’s presentation and swearing-in, the event will include a short video highlighting his 100 days and a reception with light refreshments.

Dr. Brumley’s 100-day entry plan is called Love to Learn; Learn to Lead: A 100-Day Investment for a Stronger JPPSS. It outlines specific strategies to understand the strengths and challenges faced by JPPSS students, employees, families, and the community.

Some of the highlights from Dr. Brumley’s accomplishments during the 100 days include: securing nearly $2 million in additional funds for the district’s new Transformation Network that serves the district’s highest-need schools; providing all students with top-rated learning materials by adopting a Tier 1 curriculum; holding school visits, coffee chats, and town halls in all nine JPPSS districts; spending a day teaching civics at East Jefferson High and a day shadowing a student at Marrero Middle; creating an Educator’s Compensation Working Group; conducting an external review of the JPPSS budget; meeting with advocates, civic associations, faith-based organizations, parent groups, public officials, and other community leaders.

Board President Mark Morgan and the Jefferson Parish School Board invite the public to attend Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley’s 100-Day Plan Presentation and Official Swearing-In Ceremony. The event will take place Monday, July 16 at 5 p.m. at the JPPSS Administration Building at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey.
