About Us

The Emergency and Risk Management department’s responsibility is to support our principals, teachers, support personnel, parents, first responders and students to ensure that as a system, we build and improve our capability to prepare for and protect against all threats. We collaborate with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) and all available resources of the Jefferson Parish government, sheriff’s office, police chiefs and fire districts.

 Emergency Management Crisis Plan

The Emergency and Risk Management department has developed and maintains a comprehensive Emergency Crisis Plan to help our schools better understand and prepare for multiple emergency situations. District employees may download a current copy of the JPPSS Crisis Plan. This document requires a password to open. To request the password, please contact Kerri Cianciminio at Kerri.Cianciminio@jppss.k12.la.us
