Harahan Elementary Teachers Gain Valuable Student Insight through PLCs

“We are working alongside of each other collaboratively to make sure that all of our students succeed.” – Harahan Elementary teacher Tenisha O’Neal speaks about how Professional Learning Communities benefit children.

Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) is an ongoing process in which educators work together to achieve better results for the students they serve. The Jefferson Parish Public School System joins numerous high performing districts around the state and nation by holding early-release days for PLCs. By dismissing students two and a half hours early, teachers have time embedded into the day for this professional development.

This is the latest in a video series that highlights how schools across JPPSS are using PLCs to make a bigger impact on students.
