Audubon Nature Institute Brings Students Up Close to Conservation

Schneckenburger Elementary students came face to face with animals they normally only read about in books. The Audubon Nature Institute’s ZOOmobile visited this Kenner school with a car load full of South American creatures. The outreach experience introduces children to animals and the importance of conservation.

Johnson Gretna Park Students Donate $1500 to Cancer Center at West Jefferson Medical Center

Johnson Gretna Park Elementary students are taught the importance of PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination, Empathy. The impact of this lesson could be seen recently when the students raised $1,500 for the Cancer Center at West Jefferson Medical Center. This gift has created a special bond between WJMC and the school.
