Ellender School will be closed on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 due to a water main break outside of the school. Only Ellender School administrators and custodial staff should report to school on Wednesday, December 21. Exams will be rescheduled when school resumes on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

The newest National Blue Ribbon School in the Jefferson Parish Public School System turned a social studies lesson into a celebration of community. Clancy-Maggiore Elementary School for the Arts held a United Nations Day recently. Students studied countries from around the world, while also celebrating their own unique cultures.
The students of Gretna No. 2 Academy spanned the decades while celebrating members of our armed forces on Veterans Day. “A Tribute to the Armed Forces” combined music and comedy to pay respect to the men and women who serve our country.
