JPPSS Schools and Offices will be Open Friday, December 8, 2017

The Jefferson Parish Public School System will be open tomorrow, Friday, December 8, 2017. After several updates from the National Weather Service and the Jefferson Parish Emergency Management Department, it has been determined that the inclement weather is not predicted to negatively impact the south shore. We will operate on our normal schedule.

JPPSS Schools and Offices Closed November 20-24 for Thanksgiving Break

All schools and buildings in the Jefferson Parish Public School System will be closed from November 20 through 24 for Thanksgiving Break. Strehle Closed Monday, November 13th

The Jefferson Parish Public School System has announced that Catherine Strehle Elementary School in Avondale will be closed on Monday, November 13th due to a fire in the main electrical panel at the school. The situation is being evaluated and the district will announce any further closure of Strehle should it become necessary.
