Magnet Program Applications Now Available. Apply by 4 p.m. on April 7

The window to apply for the Jefferson Parish Public School System Magnet Programs for the 2017-18 school year is open now until 4 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017.

You can also find applications on our Magnet Programs department page, on the school websites of our magnet schools, at the JPPSS Administration Building at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey, at the Emenes Building at 822 S. Clearview Parkway in Harahan, and at our magnet schools.

Completed applications and required documents must be hand delivered to the Compliance Office between February 20 and 4 p.m. on April 7. The Compliance Office is located at the JPPSS Administration Building, which is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Required documents are (1) proof of residency in Jefferson Parish, (2) the student’s birth certificate, and (3) if applying for grades 2-11, the final report card from the year prior to application.

Note: The Jefferson Parish School system will be closed from Monday, February 27, 2017 to Friday, March 3, 2017 for the Mardi Gras break.

Acceptance is determined by (1) having met the criteria outlined in 2017-2018 Magnet School/Magnet Program Application Process Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions, (2) the date and time of submission of the application, and (3) capacity in the grade level at the requested school.
