APPLICATION FOR SUPERINTENDENT’S SPED COUNCIL

Purpose and Scope

The purpose of the Superintendent’s Special Education Council (SSEC) is to discuss and provide meaningful feedback to the Superintendent regarding special education policies, procedures, and resources. Additionally, the council will be tasked with increasing the level of support and collaboration through engagement and education to the community at large as it relates to special education in the Jefferson Parish Public Schools. The council will advise and advocate, not decide policy.

Application and Selection Process

The Superintendent invites parents, principals, teachers, para-professionals, and community partners, to apply for a seat on the 20-member council. Applications will be accepted Tuesday, October 23, 2018 through Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Please fill out application below or download the attached application and submit to carolyn.vannorman@jppss.k12.la.us.
