Apply for our remaining Advanced Study Academies openings from June 23 to July 8

22047881132_7fd6672dde_zThe Jefferson Parish Public School System’s Advanced Study Academies will accept applications for grade levels with remaining openings for the 2016-2017 school year from Thursday, June 23 until Friday, July 8 at noon.

Applications will be available on June 22 at both locations listed below and at our ASA admissions webpage.
Applications must be completed and hand delivered to one of the following locations.

Jefferson Parish School Board Offices (Westbank):

Jefferson Parish School Board Offices (Eastbank):

Elmwood, LA 70123

Office hours are:
Monday–Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday, June 25: 8 a.m. – noon
Wednesday, June 29 & July 6: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, July 8: 8 a.m. – noon

Deadline: 12:00 noon on Friday, July 8, 2016

NOTE: Jefferson Parish Public Schools will be closed on Friday, July 1 and Monday, July 4 for Independence Day.

Below you will find a current copy of our policies and procedures, attendance zone maps, and projected openings for the upcoming school year. Please note projected openings are correct as of June 2016 and are subject to change.

Important Notes:

  1. Privately administered standardized tests or evaluations are not accepted. Certificates, letters of recommendation, awards, etc. are not factored into the admissions process.
  2. If for any reason your child is unable to test on his/her scheduled testing date, only one makeup date will be offered by the admissions office. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the admissions office as soon as possible if the child will not be testing on his/her scheduled date. Admissions office – (504) 349-7792
  3. Once a child has gone into the testing room and begins testing, there will be no makeup/retest opportunity for the upcoming school year.
  4. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the admissions office if your child requires testing accommodations as documented on a current IEP or IAP. No accommodations can be provided unless they are specified on the accommodations pages on a current IEP or IAP which must be submitted at the time of application.
  5. The Appeals Committees adhere strictly to Board Approved Policies and Procedures. Decisions made by the Appeals Committees are final.
