2017 JPPSS Employee Voluntary Transfer Process Starts April 3

The Jefferson Parish Public School System conducts a Voluntary Transfer Process (VTP) each year in the spring. The window for transfer has been extended from April 3- July 21. Any employee who desires to transfer must apply online between April 3-May 31. The application window will close at midnight on May 31.

Certificated teachers, deans, assistant principals, counselors, and para-professionals are eligible for transfer if they:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in JPPSS at their current school
  • Hold a valid Louisiana teacher certificate in the requested subject-area vacancy (teachers only)
  • Are currently NOT on any level of an Intensive Assistance Plan (IAP)
